I read a lot about metabolic health, it is still not clear to me if statins are good or bad for diabetics. It is my understanding that the consensus in the medical world is that the overall benefits of statins for people with diabetes generally outweigh the risks, especially when it comes to preventing cardiovascular disease. Do we really understand cholesterol? My LDL is low but my HDL is low as well. Can statins suppress HDL?
