Wednesday, October 1 (Week 1) Welcome to Intro to Fasting! Welcome to Toward Health’s Fasting (No) Lunch Support Group! Health We are excited to get started tomorrow, Thursday, October 2 at 12p EST. This 4-week group will give you a basic primer on why, what, and how to incorporate fasting into your diet, along with the strategies needed to begin to integrate fasting into your lifestyle. There will be ample opportunities to ask questions and get real-time support and encouragement during each weekly group. We hope to provide accountability, resources and more to help you understand fasting in a way that sustainably leads to a life-long practice. Also, mark your calendars: during Week 3 (October 16) of this session, Dr. Laura Buchanan will do a deep dive lecture on the science of fasting. You should have already received an email with the Zoom link to join the webinar. Another reminder will be sent an hour before the meeting. Your homework this week: If you haven’t already, please download and create an account on the Toward Health app. Once you’ve downloaded the app, go to the Message Board section and join the Fasting Accountability Message Board – a safe place to talk about fasting without triggering food pics! Please read everything in this section* before Thursday’s meeting, paying particular attention to the article Fasting: Get Started in 5 Simple Steps and the course: Keto & Intermittent Fasting. These articles are available to both premium and non-premium app members. Our Community Chat and Fasting Message Board are also open to everyone, so please visit and post frequently. If you have any questions in between the Thursday meetings, you will find lots of people, in various stages of their fasting practice and low carb journey, who are there to support you, answer questions and root you on.
