Light meal this afternoon after an easy morning and a good strength training session that was completed fasted. Food was the rest of my tuna-sardine mixture, some pickles to use as a delivery vessel for the tuna & a really sexy-yet-pretty-boring hb egg. Nothing there that should raise my CGM numbers, right? YET…there’s the CGM screenshot. Here’s what you don’t necessarily see in a screenshot… My numbers were nice, low & stable until I did a pretty robust (for me anyway) strength training session fasted. The first number I saw when I finished my workout was 119. I might have been wondering what was going on since I knew I hadn’t eaten anything but in this case I wasn’t a bit concerned because I knew the raise was a good thing & just my body doing body things like making sure I had enough glucose in my system to get through the activity that I was asking it to do. I know it’ll level out and be right back on track soon. It’s already well on its way. This is why I love my CGM. I think they are a great tool and can help folks really get a good understanding of what in the heck their body is doing! My family always asks me…”you gonna wear that forever?” My response is typically “Define forever…” 🤷♀️ **This is just my take on the situation so know my non-existent medical license is not currently valid and everything I said here could just be a bunch of hooey! 😉😎
