Have any of you dealt with gout while doing low carb? I’m pretty sure I have a mild case going right now. This was a sudden onset of pain in the big toe(in the middle of the night) First time ever this has happened to me. I had a blood draw on Friday and was told that Uric Acid reading would typically be higher than mine for gout, but I did test on the high end of normal. 7.5 mg/dL. 4.4-7.6 is considered normal in their eyes. If you have dealt with it, how did you/do you deal with it while maintaining a low carb life? My diet consists of a fair amount of red meat which is vital for me to maintain this way of eating. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
