July 5 Saturday Thinking about habits. What habits have I created to ensure my success for when life happens? Because life happens as long as we are alive. These habits have become something that I can maintain when things get hectic. Maybe not perfectly, but every little bit helps. 1) the basics—sleep, water, hunger cues, satiety cues 2) food planning. This helps me to maintain my health. 3) social connection, virtual or IRL. I learned this during Covid. The isolation was tough for me 4) movement that I enjoy. Including strength training. I want to be able to get off of the floor and the toilet when I get older. 5) some type of emotional nourishment 6) awareness of my habits and the ability to converse with my brain when things get nutty With my last relapse/regain. I did not have the habits on lockdown. I did not have the tools that I do now. I am learning. Yay me!!!
