Some days lately on this almost four year low carb metabolic health path I’ve been on, I feel discouraged. I haven’t managed to loose all the weight I think I need to loose. I’ve hit a long weight stall. My 67 yr old joints still ache most days and I struggle to meet my health goals - exercise, weight etc. But then I remember somethings. Non scale gains - and one I suddenly realized today is that I can easily and pretty consistently do 18 hour fasts. And even 25 hours isn’t hard for me anymore. Here are some more : I don’t snack outside my eating window ( a life long struggle ) I enjoy exercise more ( not perfectly ) I remember that being kind and encouraging to myself is going to get me much further than beating myself up. I have a community of people I can turn to for encouragement anytime. I have an amazing doctor ( @drlaura ) who cares what I think and listens to my concerns and has me on a path to healing I have a health coach (@tia ) who steadily encourages me to keep going and gives me wise and careful information My blood pressure is down and I don’t take bp meds anymore. Wow. I’m no longer confused about all the misleading nutritional ‘information’ out there and have learned so much about cholesterol, cardiac health what our bodies truly need through the courses and groups at Toward Health So when I feel discouraged I can turn it around and say THANK YOU to all of you and I can remember to be grateful for all the changes, and KEEP GOING. !!!
