On the recommendation @Vic Basmadjian , I started a fat fast two days ago. My fat fasts are pretty strict: only pure fats like butter, coffee, and a small amount of homemade bone broth. I’m down more than 10lbs in just 40 hours. My hunger is controlled. For some of us, protein acts like a carb and throws us out of ketosis. That has always been my experience. I gain rapidly (2lbs PER WEEK) doing regular carnivore as my hunger skyrockets and ketones go to zero. But when I up that fat energy ratio to 90% or more, the magic happens. No hunger, insane energy, and rapid weight loss. If what you are doing isn’t working, experiment. Everyone is different.
