Scales LIE, even when they are accurate. Ugh. I weigh my self first thing after I get up and potty, (my “dry weight”). I usually gain two to three pounds of food/water during a day. I know this because I weigh myself before bed. Then I lose two pounds overnight by the time I wake up and weigh myself again. Yesterday I gained FIVE pounds! F I V E! The amount that weight can flux in 12 hours is astonishing! Remember that when you go to the doctor or look at the scale and see you have “gained weight”. It could be that you are hydrating well with electrolytes (like I was yesterday). It could be you haven’t gone #2. It could be a LOT of things. But knowing what the scale says is the tiniest portion of what you are doing for your own health. Now I am going to go drink some more electrolytes and get hydrated! I have my third Dexa Fit scan on Friday and they recommend good hydration, weight be damned. 🫶🤗🫶
