My primary care doctor is retiring — and he’s actually pretty young, so I can’t help but wonder if he’s just burnt out. That said, I’m now on the hunt for a new doctor who’s open-minded and supportive of a keto lifestyle. The tricky part is, I still need someone who’s within the traditional medical system so they can work with my insurance. I’m not sure where to start… Should I be looking for a DO, an NP, someone in functional medicine, or a family medicine provider? Basically — how do you go about finding a provider who’s both open to keto and still "plugged in" to the system? Would love any tips on how to navigate this!
