I'm posting today just to say how important community is. Knowing you have somewhere to go when you need support is priceless. If you are new here, please lean on this community of people that are fighting the same fight you are. There is experience and knowledge that you won't find anywhere else. I recently experienced community in another aspect of my life. We have a friend that is dying of ALS. They have been married for almost 40 years and lived in the same small town (less than 5,000) for that whole time. The husband recently has taken a leave of absence from work to care for his wife until the end. The community held a benefit dance a week ago, over $15,000 was raised!! This money will help with his lost wages and other expenses. It is a sad story, but the bright spot is how the community rallied to help. Small towns are the best.
