My Insight: Keto, Carnivore, Nutritional, Therapeutic... your journey, your way. My son and daughter-in-law have decided to restart their Keto journey after an eight-month hiatus. I asked if today was the "K" day, and she firmly responded, "Yes, we’re starting Keto today, but none of your STUFF (not her exact word)! We won’t be finger-sticking or skipping any meals." I reassured her that "Keto Your Way" is perfectly fine—just being curious! This got me thinking about our community, which is a space for both seasoned pros and newcomers. I share my results and engage with others, not to show off or pressure anyone. I still face my own challenges. Having tried nearly every diet out there, I’ve personally found that Fasting and Keto have brought me numerous benefits. Now I strive to eliminate all forms of sugar—real, artificial, or otherwise—and minimize processed foods as much as possible. My goal is to maintain stable blood glucose levels without significant spikes while achieving high ketone levels that promote autophagy. I want to create an environment in my body that is unfavorable for cancer cells. The side effects? Weight loss, reduced inflammation, stable mental health, and many other benefits not mentioned here. *I typically eat once a day within a one-hour window, with Mondays designated as a fasting day. However, today I ended my fast at 4 PM due to medications prescribed by my doctor to mitigate the side effects of my radiation treatments for prostate cancer. I've attached today’s measurements. My journey into Keto began in the early 2000s when I started exploring Dr. Atkins' books. I also began my fasting journey after watching the 2010 film Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead. Tired of the roller coaster of weight and health, I decided to return and make it a Lifestyle, not a diet! as of June 2024. My kids do "Dirty Keto" slow & easy. *Advanced strategy. Take your time, you can hurt yourself if your body is not ready. You'll find your pace. Slow and easy, always wins the race. Even my kids were very successful for over 3 years.
