While I buy EVOO and avocado oil, I’d love to support the local economy and be less wasteful in our society. Read on if interested. There is a butcher in my city who sells beef tallow. He makes it once every week or two, and the beef used varies. He estimated it is derived from about 30% grass-fed and the rest regular beef (cows fed corn and soy). I already eat “regular” beef because it is less expensive, but I don’t see its grease as beneficial. When I occasionally buy grass-fed ground beef, however, I save the fat and personally add it to my meal. Question: would you think this butcher’s non ultra processed fat is world’s better than seed oils at least? (For those unfamiliar, the chemicals used in processing the seed oils and the way canola/etc breaks down at higher heat are big red flags for consumption.)
