#DiabetesAwarenessSeries I have to say that I very much enjoyed listening & watching the presentation yesterday. It’s such great information for everyone…even if you are not diabetic, even if you’ve heard it before, even if you think you probably already know & live it daily. Everyone will get something out of it guaranteed. If you didn’t sign up yet, you should! Especially since they will be in the app to listen (or re-listen to) at your leisure. With that said I thought I’d share a little situation I experienced recently while I was out of town visiting some fam. We were at dinner with some friends. It was a nice, easily navigated home cooked low carb meal (tri tip, roasted brussels w/bacon & salad dressed w/olive oil & vinegar) The only real non LC additions were wine, bread & birthday cake. No problem for me, I easily declined all of those. A bit after dinner I snuck a peek at my CGM & I was pretty surprised to see it up more points (not out of range but getting there) than I was comfortable with. Taking a walk wasn’t an option so I excused myself, went into the restroom & did a few minutes of squats & calf raises! It was a small bathroom but I did what I could! 😂 And guess what… it worked! I’m still not sure if it was something with the food or the lively & entertaining conversation that did it but thanks to this team and the knowledge I’ve gathered here whatever it was I had the tools to do something about it! 💪
