Vic/Tia - It’s me. Again. Scott Caplan’s talk reminded me of another question for our last class. Protein. I’m not sure I’m getting enough protein when I do IF. Is that a problem? I’m planning on doing more of the longer fasts for autophagy which means 0 protein on those days. I’m older; I don’t want to lose lean muscle mass. When I was taking care of my aunt, I learned that I need 1-1.2 grams protein per kg of weight. So how does that work with IF? Also, some say to eat the amount of protein/day based on your goal weight. Sorry, I’m not saying that right but if you want to weigh 140 pounds, some on Twitter say eat 140 grams protein/day. If you want to weigh 160 pounds, eat 160 grams/day. First of all, Twitter doesn’t always get it right, so is that even true? Second, if I do a 42 hour fast, I’m going to be missing a lot of protein and I obviously am not going to eat 2 days worth of protein the day after I fast. I can do complicated. Is there a recommended amount or a recommended way to go about this? Or, am I overthinking it? Thanks again!
