I had a wonderful time at my son‘s wedding on October 5. That was over a week and a half ago now and I am still dealing with water/weight gain from eating off plan. I have been eating lots of protein this week and using some of the substitute foods to get back on track. Usually, I will gain 25 pounds of water weight when I go off plan for even 1 day bcuz of my lymphedema/lipoedema. I am proud to report that I only put on 16.6 pounds of water weight-rebound weight during the 4 days of wedding festivities. This is because I behaved all day on Thursday, only ate a little bite of some contraband food on Friday, went to the pool twice during my 4 days away to walk in the water & try to eat lots of protein before I ate anything off plan. Yesterday I was struggling a little bit and was very hungry, so I ate more than usual, but I think it was good for me because I feel like the monster has quieted now. I am back down 7pds of the 16.6pds, so I am very happy. I’m heading in the right direction again. Last night’s dinner was two large swordfish, steaks and some broccoli. A delicious low-carb meal to help me stay on track.
