Low Carb Sushi! For sushi lovers these are the things I order and how I order them to stay low carb at a sushi place … 1) Tuna Tataki (usually an app) with sauce on the side 2) Spicy Crab Salad (usually an app) 3) Naruto (means wrapped in cucumber!) and this can be an app or a special roll on the sushi menu OR some places let you make any roll NARUTO 4) Most sushi places have been letting me order their smaller rolls like spicy tuna or spicy salmon (not monster sized rolls) NO RICE NO CRUNCH and these are great! 5) I’ve found that if I am at a sushi counter talking with the chef I can order the fancier rolls and ask for them “to be served with no rice no crunch in a bowl like a salad” and the chef is more than happy to oblige. 6) Lastly, SASHIMI. My favorites are tuna salmon and yellow tail and shrimp. I usually throw in salmon roe as well (they served on cucumber slice) and uni if it’s in season. Just wanted to share this with you! Sushi is one of my favorite meals and figuring out how to enjoy it out and still stay on track has honestly been life changing for me. I still 100% enjoy the meal and I’m not wishing for the rice.
