I went out to dinner tonight with my old boss and had a great time. I ordered chicken and artichokes in a lemon piccata sauce and asked them to put it over broccoli instead of pasta. I also had a low sugar choice in wine-Sauvignon Blanc-which only has about 3 to 5 carbs for a 5 ounce pour. All that being said I thought I did very well, BUT THEN my CGM told the story and showed a huge spike of 130 after eating my dinner. I totally forgot that they often dredge chicken in flour before they fry it and I forgot to ask about that. I’m going to forgive myself and move on. I had great numbers on my glucose monitor and ketone monitor this morning, so I’m still gonna say it was a win!
