We had a great start to the Intro to Low-Carb course last night! One thing I really want to emphasize that I did not is the importance of monitoring certain medications and working with your doctor if you change your lifestyle to low-carb. If you are on certain blood sugar and blood pressure medications, it could be dangerous to start low-carb without guidance as your blood sugar/blood pressure could drop dangerously low. The sugar medications to be EXTREMELY cautious with include insulin and sulfonylureas. Blood pressure can also improve rapidly so you may need to work quickly with your doctor to stop taking or decrease your blood pressure medications. #IntroLC
