Saturated fat, salt, and post heart attack I’m wondering if anyone on here, probably doctors and health coaches, can direct me at how to think about saturated fat and salt intake. I’ve had a heart attack and have a blocked heart artery. Conventional wisdom, especially from most cardiologists, is to eat very low amounts of saturated fat and salt. I’ve been doing that for a year now, but it does limit my options when it comes to what I can eat and I keep reading about seed oils being bad and saturated fat not being a problem, and that salt and electrolyte intake is especially important for low carb / keto dieters. I know that heart attacks result in remodeling of the arteries which changes the rules a bunch. Are cardiologists wrong, or do the rules about salt, saturated fat and seed oils only apply to people that haven’t had a heart attack already?
