As many of you know, I’m here for the mental health benefits first, weight loss second. I’m having great success with both — which is probably why I don’t really have a problem eating this way or incorporating the other aspects of improving my overall metabolic health into my daily life. I sometimes post things like this to help others understand the power of this way of life. Recently, I noticed an improvement in my brain health I wasn’t aware needed improved. I haven’t experienced any symptoms in months but I do know I still have some processing issues. The fact that I’m still improving is a big wow for me. I wasn’t sure if I needed to just accept the new me and my limitations or if I could improve. All I can say is this lifestyle, this WOE works. Haven’t listened to a long-time favorite Audible book (same narrator) for a few months. For the past 3 days, it’s like when you’re watching the black & white portion of Wizard of Oz and it suddenly turns to color tv but I was listening, not watching. The difference is difficult to explain but wow. Makes me wonder what kind of improvements I will see in the next 3 months! I highly recommend reading “Brain Energy” by Dr Chris Palmer if you have any mental health issues or any metabolic disorders like diabetes, etc. and encouraging your doctor or psychiatrist to read it, too (even if you have to buy them a copy of it). Of course, “Change Your Diet Change Your Mind,” by Dr Geogia Ede is also an excellent and informative read. You can also find numerous video interviews of both psychiatrists on YouTube but it’s not just them. Similar researchers/doctors/patients in multiple countries are reporting major improvements. Mitochondrial dysfunction. Metabolic health.
