My old breakfast: oatmeal, half a banana, walnuts, date syrup, milk, oj, tea with local honey. My new breakfast: 5%fat Fage yogurt, 1 tablespoon of homemade berry chia jam (no added sugar or substitutes), 1 Brazil nut, 4 walnut halves, coffee with cream. Biggest change: I’m not hungry for hours, increased energy, no need for a mid morning nap. Now I understand the that I was overloading my body with carbs that I thought were healthy. Duh!
