I was blessed to be invited to a 60th birthday pool party for one of my friends yesterday. The party was fantastic and the food was AMAZING! I used Dr. Tro’s strategy and ate a ginger pork lettuce wrap, a few radishes, and some cheese before I left the house so I wouldn’t be hungry when I got there. At the party I had salad with strawberries on it, (skipped the dressing because it was full of sugar). I had 2 fillet mignon, & 1 chicken skewer, then I added a few stalks of grilled asparagus & zucchini and felt completely satisfied &I wasn’t tempted by the dessert. I had 2 low-carb adult beverages and I really really enjoyed myself. I am so proud of myself for skipping the very fancy dessert- which I did take a picture of, as they were a work of art! This was a huge WIN for me! Thank you to all of you for posting your strategies for when you face this kind of temptation and food stress. I felt confident going in that I had a strategy and that I would survive it without a backslide. Amen?
