I know I shared this before! It’s really important to know that Sugar is Sugar. I really want you to get this!! Sugar doesn’t have to taste sweet. Breads, grains, flour, pasta , rice , oatmeal, Fruit,! All these things turn to sugar in your body. Yes, fruit is natures sugar! Especially if you have been diagnosed with T2D. These foods are all full of carbohydrates that turn to sugar in your body and elevate your blood sugars. There are so many names for sugar out there now. Know what’s in your food! Remember 1 tsp of sugar = 4 grams of carbohydrates. Track your food for a couple days. Total up your total (not net) carbohydrate intake and divide it by 4 now how much sugar are you eating???? Your body can’t burn fat if it’s always burning sugar!!! 4g carbohydrate = 1tsp sugar Read labels!! You'll be surprised. Our body cannot distinguish between type of carb ingested. But sugar is sugar.
