Welp it’s *that* time of year again. Quite a few years ago I planted a dwarf nectarine tree because it was my all-time-favorite fruit and I thought, “wouldn’t it be great to have a WHOLE TREE of my favorite fruit to indulge in?” Fast forward a few more years and here I am with a WHOLE TREE of what *was* my favorite all-time fruit and now I find myself every year figuring out how to get rid of it all! Heres my strategy: 1) I will typically allow myself a couple each season (as in 2 or 3) only because they come from MY tree (local) & are in-season (now.) But that’s it. Nectarines tend to bump my bg so I stick to berries if I’m going to have fruit. 🤷‍♀️ 2) I tell all my family, neighbors, friends & my gardener to pick all they want any time! 3) I feed nature! They help themselves too… and I’m fine with that! We have a block wall at the back of our yard that we refer to as our “Possum (Wildlife) Highway” so we leave some for them there too. ☺️ #foodisnotthebossofme #igotthishandled
