Have you ever heard of the Choice Point? I love this graph. Are you working on your away moves or your towards moves. It so easy to get “hooked” by difficult thoughts that pull us off track and gets us hooked on the away moves. We make choices everyday. That is why it’s so important to know your why! For most of us our default setting is that we get hooked, we do away moves. But as we develop our unhooking skills, it’s more clear what matters to us, we find we have a lot more choices about how we respond. Do we unhook and do towards moves? Or get hooked and do away moves? Towards moves, moves you towards your goals and values; not feelings but actions. I great friend of mine showed me this. Look at an away move, what would you like to do instead of this? I thought of this today while in the fasting group with @Vic Basmadjian ! We had some great conversation there and I felt thankful for this community and connection. The great members that help each other move towards their goals. Thank you to all that joined!!
