Green onions: I have learned from past experience that when I bought fresh green onions, the most practical thing to do was to throw them in the trash can on the way out of the grocery store, since invariably they would turn to slime in the produce drawer... until... I learned that if I wash them as soon as I get home, slice them, put the green part on one container, the white part in another, then pop them in the freezer, when I suddenly have to urge to throw some in with beef + ginger + coconut aminos, the sudden craving is satisfied without the guilt of throwing away slimy green onions. Yay!
