Good afternoon! Some of you may have seen the AHA release that "8-hour time-restricted eating linked to a 91% higher risk of cardiovascular death". Please ignore this! The data is absolutely terrible. In my opinion it should be thrown out and never been able to even be presented as a poster. The data that they used to make that claim was based on two 24-hour dietary recall questionnaires within the first year of enrolling into the study - and as far as I can tell, that is it. You can imagine thinking about what you ate in the last 24 hours and then decades later the scientists make a lot of assumptions / conclusions based on those two single points in time. Extremely flawed and unreliable way to do research.
