Grateful for the warm welcome and chance to share the LionsFit4Life initiative with an incredible Lions Club last night! Lots of great questions, some of my answers and information in my presentation I could tell was news to many. It's heartwarming to inspire change and make a positive impact. π¦π #LionsFit4Life During setup, several waitstaff volunteered to me they were diabetic. I had a meaningful chat with them about healthy eating habits. They got some tips and I invited them watch the presentation. The Lions Club members' engagement and insightful questions showed their dedication to learning. This was not my first time presenting this information, but my education from various sources like online training, conferences, books, and this community proved an invaluable resource to back up my knowledge. I also mentioned and talked about Dr. Tro, the health coaches and staff, and the invaluable support offered within, inviting everyone to join the app and community. Two final notes. They had a 50/50 raffle, and they asked me to draw the winning ticket. Closed my eyes, looked away, and drew a ticket which turned out to be my wifes! As I was breaking down my equipment, the waitstaff told me in a funny way I was bad for business π€£. As I was presenting, people were being served some carby and sweet choices. The staff said many people stopped eating their bread and pasta; nor did they have their cake for dessert. They offered next time to serve some other choices like salads and strawberries. Many Lions thanked me,some said they would follow up. If we make a life changing impact to one person its worth it! #CommunityImpact #Gratitude
