I’ve been getting more comfortable slow jogging for 1-2 miles over the past few weeks, as my body felt up to it. Decided to scrap the zone 2 and try for a fastest mile. Ended up going 12:22. Pretty pleased, my memory is hazy but two mile times from 4th or 5th grade were 12:47 and 13:53. Not sure if this is my fastest mile ever, I may have come closer to 10 before but I didn’t track it closely. My right hip feels tender, took the most beating of any joint or muscle. Still lifting weights tomorrow but I’ll see how it feels and adjust as needed. Max heart rate was 185 with an avg of 169 Update: Finished my weight lifting workout, went pretty well. Skipped squats and deadlifts but all the other exercises went well. Realized it wasn’t really my hip joint but some connective tissue above it that’s tender.
