Small triumph: Today I accidentally put on (and wore) a pair of jeans that I couldn't even pull up a month or so ago. Additional story: My mom almost never gets sick, but this past Sunday she came down with a fairly nasty cold. On Monday and yesterday she was slightly better than Sunday evening, but still fighting it. Today she's fine. Also, she shared it. My husband, my son, and I all woke up feeling off and were getting worse all morning. By late morning, I felt like hot buttered trash, and I noticed that my blood sugar was up to 118 (when it would usually be in the low/mid-80s and I'd only had bacon, eggs, and coffee). After resting for a bit, I set out on an across-town errand (picking up a farm delivery from a drop site). On the way back from that errand, I realized that I was feeling a lot better and then noticed my blood glucose dropping through the 90s. By the time I got home, I felt well enough to do many things (including a Costco run and a trip to the library). Husband is still on the line of sick/not, and could tip either way. Son is running a fever and coughing like crazy. Son has also noticed that I am a lot better (and knows my previous pattern of getting very sick and then getting sinusitis), and is muttering about going carnivore.
