Day 25 of journaling every day. Yesterday I wrote about how I was struggling to actually write anything. Today is even harder. As I shared yesterday, I got a ton done and a lot of it was standing and up on my feet. Turns out, I may have overdone it. My inflammation has been pretty bad all day today. I like list prompts for days when I don’t have the energy to write. I may not have the space or the energy for deep introspection, but I do have 5 minutes. Take 5-15 minutes and write about Make a list of things that make you feel comforted. What are the things that soothe and heal you? - a cup of tea, especially when someone makes it for me - in general being taken care of, especially while I’m working on something - taking a bath - warm stock/broth (clearly I’m feeling warmth and food oriented right now) - Felix - a nap - My parents bought Andrew a ceramic foot warmer from Cotswold and I kind of love it - fresh cut flowers - watching queer eye or great british baking show - listening to discworld audiobooks - the hand knit sweater and cardigans my mother and grandmother have made me - my compression gloves and ankle compression socks - candle light - the smell of certain incenses Alright, easy day, easy prompt, but I wrote and that is what counts. I’m proud of myself, and now I’m going to bed early.
