I want to give a big SHOUT OUT to @tammy.mcdonald. For months, I’ve been hearing you talk about the early morning boot camp program you signed up for, and I’ve heard your words about how hard it was at first and how much you’ve progressed in your strength and endurance. For months, I’ve been thinking I should do something like that. Last week, I joined a CrossFit gym. I’ve now completed four workouts. It’s hard. My body hurts. I’m slower and weaker than everyone there. But they’re all cheering me on. This morning, my workout partner from my first day (who is not new to CF) said she was so impressed that I went on a Saturday. The Saturday workouts intimidate her. But she said if I’m going on Saturday, she’ll go, too. She couldn’t know that her comment almost brought me to tears. My name is a little hard to make out here, but I logged my first white board results (for the first one, I didn’t get a time; the coach just gave me a smiley face for showing up and trying).
